Leadership in the Image of God — Part 2: Skill Development

Ken Boa on the work of leading: decisions, teams, change and time, from Scripture.

Character makes a leader trustworthy. Skill makes a leader useful. This second Part of Ken Boa’s study turns to the work itself: the decisions, the structures, the plans, the people and the hours. It asks what it looks like to do that work in the image of God. Twenty-two studies cover accountability, change, communication, conflict, decision-making, empowerment, justice, stewardship, stress, team building and time, each grounded in Scripture and drawn from Ken’s decades of teaching leaders.

Who it's for
Leaders responsible for an organization, not only a group: pastors and ministry directors, business owners and managers, nonprofit leaders and board members. If your week is full of decisions, plans, budgets, hiring and deadlines, this part is written for that work, and it asks what that work looks like when it is done in the image of God. It is the longest of the three and rewards a steady pace, such as a module a week. It stands on its own, so you can begin here even if you have not taken Part One.
