Double-blind controlled research study Growth Hormone is a naturally occurring substance in the body which is secreted by the pituitary gland, the master gland of the body located in the endocrine system. Growth Hormone is important for a number of reasons, in older individuals, it can slow down and in many cases reverse the aging process. Aging is now considered a disease and not just a normal occurrence which goes unchecked.
“I attended the Anti-Aging conference in December with over 1,000 other physicians from around the world. Most doctors who attended agreed that the Growth Hormone was one of the most exciting advancements in reversing the disease since DHEA”, said Dr. Dorman
Traditionally, it has been used in Europe and the United States for approximately 25 years with very gratifying results. It has been previously available by injection only and since injections cost between $4,000 and $20,000 a year, only the wealthy have been able to afford this treatment. Until Now!
The list of Benefits seems to grow with each new study. They now include 8.8 percent increase in muscle mass on an average after 6 months, without exercise 14.4 percent loss of fat on an average after six months, without dieting Higher energy level Enhanced sexual performance Regrowth of heart, liver, spleen, kidneys, and other organs that shrink with age. Greater cardiac output Increased exercise performance Better kidney function Lowered blood pressure Improved cholesterol profile, with higher HCL, and lower LDL Stronger bones Faster wound healing Younger, tighter, thicker skin Hair regrowth Wrinkle removal Elimination of cellulite Sharper vision Mood elevation Increased memory retention Improved sleep Superior Immune function Acquired Growth Hormone Deficiency Syndrome is characterized by weight gain, increased fat mass and decreased lean body mass. Muscle mass and muscle strength are diminished. In the heart, these changes are manifested by a reduced left ventricular mass and decreased cardiac output. Decreased bone density and impaired psychological well being and potentially significant neuropsychiatric manifestations, such as lack of concentration and memory impairment.
Medical clinical results are based on years of documented testing of growth hormone (GH) on the human body and are not intended to endorse any single product.
Growing Old is Not Inevitable In 1985 Dr. Daniel Rudman, an endocrinologist from Madison, Wisconsin, pioneered the original peer-reviewed research on GH in humans. He hypothesized that the changes in the body composition which become apparent around age 35 had to do with declining hormone levels, and he began by testing GH to examine its effects on lean body mass and body fat. Dr. Rudman studied men between the ages of 61 to 80 who experienced significant changes in body composition with age, but who were otherwise healthy. These men were overweight and had significantly low levels of growth hormone. Despite the fact that they did not alter their diet, exercise, or smoking habits, the men who were given GH gained an average of 8.8% in lean muscle mass while losing 14% of their body fat. They experienced localized increase in bone density and their skin became thicker and firmer.
According to Dr. Rudman and his associates, the subjects of this study reversed these parameters of aging by 10-20 years.
This study published in The New England Journal of Medicine, represented the biggest breakthrough in anti-aging medicine at the time and led to a wide acceptance that, in the words of Dr. Rudman, “The overall deterioration of the body that comes with growing old is not inevitable.”
Since Dr. Rudman’s initial findings, thousand of additional studies have supported the fact that GH not only retards aging, but also reverses the process as well.
The Ageless Society Details about GH can be found in the book entitled “Grow Young with GH” by Dr. Ronald Klatz, the President of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine. Having based his work on scientific research written up in thousands of reports, books, interviews and double blind studies, Dr Klatz announces that the ageless society has truly begun.
What does this mean - the ageless society? Well, many scientist today feel that in the near future the average life expectancy will far exceed its current level of 77 years, and extend to 100 or more. Some experts feel the human body can live even longer than that - well past 120 and even to 140. The reason for this are many: better medicine, vitamins, supplements, replacement surgery, nutrition, and now possibly the most important of all - GH. The ultimate Anti - Aging substance, GH affects almost every cell in the body. It helps to regenerate skin, bone, heart, liver, lungs and kidneys to youthful levels. The immune system is revitalized, heart attack and stroke risk factors are diminished, emphysema patients find their oxygen intake improves and osteoporosis is prevented. Wrinkled skin is also restored to youthfulness, diminished sexual organs are revived to former proportions, pre-myopic eyes focus properly, hair color is restored and that’s really just the beginning.
What Is a Hormone? The word hormone originates from the Greek and means “to set in motion.” As tiny chemical messengers inside our body, they are continuously secreted into the blood stream by the endocrine glands. Once in the blood they work to regulate the activities of vital organs, and to stimulate a multitude of live-giving processes to maintain health, healing, balance, growth and repair. They are involved with every aspect of human activity from sexual function and reproduction to growth and development, metabolism and mood.
Human Growth Hormone Known as the master hormone, GH is produced by the pituitary gland in the center of the brain. The hormone is also called somatotropin, and influences the growth of cells, bones, muscles and organs throughout the body.
But like many of the other endocrine hormones - estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, melatonin and DHEA - GH declines in production with age. By the time we are 61 production is only 29% of what it was at age 21.
By the time we are in our 70’s, virtually everyone is deficient in growth hormone, which results in Somatotropin Defiance Syndrome (SDS). Symptoms include loss of muscle, increase of fat, decreased physical mobility, decreased socialization and energy levels, diminished healing ability, greater risk of cardiovascular disease and lower life expectancy. In other words, the symptoms of the disease we call aging.
While many of the hormones can be replaced to hinder some of the effects of aging GH reaches far beyond the scope of any of these. Not only does it prevent biological aging, but clinical evidence demonstrates that by replacing growth hormone in our bodies we can dramatically reverse such symptoms.
Burning Fat The most effective anti-obesity “agent” ever discovered, GH revs up the metabolism to former highs, selectively reducing the abdomen, hips, waist and thighs while at the same time increasing muscle mass. In many cases, people “look like they’ve shed years away along with the fat they’ve lost.” After using GH for six months and with no exercise, an 8.8% increase in lean muscle mass and 14.4% loss of fat is reported as average.
GH accelerates the burning of fat by making it available as fuel, reducing both the sizes and amounts of cells. This occurs because fat cells have growth hormone receptors. When the growth hormone binds to these receptors, it triggers a series of enzymatic reactions in the cells to break down the fat, a process called lipolyses.
In studies where GH is combined with diet there is a 25% acceleration in the rate of fat loss beyond the effects of diet alone. And a maintaining of body tone at the same time.
Belgian physician, Dr. Thierry Hertoghe, typically records a shrinkage of about 23 to 30 percent in the love handles. It’s not just a abdomen that shrinks, he says, “it is the upper side of the hand, the backside of the foot, the underside of the thigh get thinner, while the upper side of the thigh gets thicker with more muscle.”He also says that when the skin hangs from the upper arm of a woman it signals the loss of growth hormone, When she has enough GH it tightens up again.
Skin, Hair and Nails Proper diet, aerobic and weight training, antioxidants and even other hormone treatments can be a great help in maintaining a youthful appearance. But only growth hormone can take a decade or so off your face.
The skin regains thickness and youthful contours as it becomes more elastic and hydrated and people start looking visibly younger, usually within a few weeks. Not only do the fine lines vanish and deeper wrinkles recede, but the face actually undergoes change of contour. Growth hormone appears to have a tonic effect on hair. In clinical test thirty-eight percent reported new hair growth, coming in faster and thicker, and even in its natural color. Nails are strengthened, cellulite removed. Super healing properties can also regrow burned skin and close ulcerated wounds.
GH and Sex As a powerful aphrodisiac, GH restores sexual potency and sexuality in older men. In a study done by Dr. Cass Terry, 75% of the 202 adult participants reported an improvement in sexual potency and frequency and 62% of the male participants reported having longer-lasting erections. Women using GH therapy report increased libido, heightened pleasure and the equivalent of greater potency in men in the form of multiple orgasms. It also helps to alleviate menstrual and post menopausal symptoms, and eliminate vaginal dryness.
According to all of the physicians who use growth hormone in their practice, the sexual changes are striking effecting both men and women.
Dr. John Baron, at age 82, says ”I’m surprised myself. I’d say my libido and sexual function is as good as it was when I was 25.”
Brain Function The brain and nervous system are made up of what are called neurons. And though these cells are permanent and never re-grow, GH can stimulate their repair and rejuvenation. It also affects the proteins that are produced in the brain for string the memories of all our experiences. Therefore, learning memory and intelligence all depend on an adequate supply of growth hormone.
Energy, Mood and Creativity GH can not only reinvigorate the mind, but can also reverse the attitudes, outlook and expectations associated with aging. It increases concentration and thinking power has an anti-depressive action on the brain, and can have a profound effect in increasing energy and a sense of well-being. Dr. Thierry Hertoghe talks about the effects of growth hormone, saying that it helps to relax, improves focus and concentration, and builds self-esteem and self-confidence. He says, “you can see right to the heart of a problem and find the solution. I am a leader in many institutions but I can't get stressed by being a leader. I find new solutions, new creativity. Growth hormone gives imperial calmness that makes you active and not passive. You act without fear.”
Exercise and Body Building Medical studies have proven that positive gains occur only while growth is being secreted. GH significantly increases the effects of exercise and muscle building, including energy, muscle strength, stamina and endurance.
Studies at St. Thomas Hospital in London showed that “there is a tremendous increase in muscles and you won’t believe how hard they are.” L. Cass Terry, M.D. also found that growth hormone, “made a tremendous difference in my fat composition and body configuration in less than two months.”
GH has also improved heart/lung function by increasing the ability of patients to exercise, raising their maximum oxygen uptake and increasing their stroke volume and cardiac output.
Cell Protection One of the ways growth hormone stop aging in the cell is by stopping the random wear and tear caused by oxygen free radicals.
Anti-oxidants such as Vitamin C, Vitamin E, etc. can remove oxygen free radicals and keep the protease's (destructive enzymes that cause cell damage) from becoming active. But growth hormone can act on the protease's directly. It activates cellular defense force called protease inhibitors, which prevent free radicals from doing their deadly work.
Without growth hormone in the cell, the oxygen free radicals are free to tear up the cell’s proteins.
What the latest European research shows is that growth hormone can not only further what anti-oxidants do but it can also do what anti-oxidants cannot.
The Immune System Many gerontologists believe that the immune system is the key to longevity. The thymus gland is fundamental to the production of T-Cells, which are the foot soldiers in the fight against disease. At approximately age 12 the thymus begins to shrink until by age 40 it is a shadow of its former self, and age 60 it is difficult to find. You can get it back by using growth hormone. Growth hormone improves the manufacturing of new antibodies, increased production of T-Cells, and greater production and activity of disease-fighting white blood cells.
Reversing Heart Disease When the body has the proper amount of growth hormone that it needs, the effects on heart function are dramatic. But the most mind boggling effect of growth hormone might be its ability to stop cell death after a heart attack or stroke.
GH and Other Diseases GH reduces the risk of osteoporosis and other bone related diseases. Studies have shown increases in bone mass, increased calcium levels and collagen.
Some of the latest research indicates that GH may hold great promise for Alzheimer’s patients.
Dr. David Clemmons of the University of North Carolina has used GH for COPD, emphysema and other pulmonary diseases.
GH can reverse the wasting syndrome which causes many deaths in cases of advanced AIDS.
Preliminarily studies suggest that GH might be a remedy for fibromyalgia. ALS, and MS.
In fact, everything that we associate with aging may be due totally, or in part, to the decline in GH. Study after study adds yet another benefit.
